don't let worms spoil your apples

in grief the internal world shatters

a whole apple half eaten bits fall down and get torn up,

wet sodden or drowned. your bone is in the wall this sofa (sit down on it and puffs of skin dust rise up catching in the sunlight  - sparkles from the angels' sneezes)

all the moths came.

it was summer. flying out of your cloths, your bedding.

we held hands and inside I cried. someone told us that the trees who host the most plants are the healthiest.

will I host you when you’re gone

Created by Reed Rushes in collaboration with performers Kate Williams, ryen heart and sound artist Wibke Tiarks. don't let worms spoil your apples was supported by an Otion Front Studio residency in 2022 where it was shown in process.
